This truly is a spectacular place…and a great hike! This was captured on my very first trip to the location in August 2008 with an invite from Bill Amadon.  When I first set up my camera the water was completely flat with a perfect reflection.  Before I was ready, the wind kicked up and the moment was lost.  Bill patiently waited while I held out for over an hour in the same exact spot waiting for the wind and surface to settle. Our patience paid off!

The Adirondacks are incredibly stunning.  I miss them a lot now that I have moved away.
